Another W E D D I N G
Beth's & Todd's

This certainly was the summer for weddings.  Two of Kathy's friends, one in June, one in July, then this one in August...

My oldest niece, Beth, got married on August 24, 2002.  Kathy and I flew to Chicago for the wedding.  It was a very nice wedding held at the Newberry Library -- not your average library, but a library that has rare and very old books for display.

They had an overall library theme to the wedding.  The invitation looked like a card from a library card catalog, as did their thank you cards.  The wedding program was made up like a little book called A Wedding.  Todd, the groom, did a great job preparing a laptop full of MP3s for the music (he had a friend run it, of course), piped through a great sound-system provided by Beth's dad.

This is Kathy and me in the park across the street before the ceremony.

Again, in the park, my mom and I.

Kathy being....well....Kathy. ;-)

My brother Mike and me.

A rare snapshot of Beth and Todd together
at the reception.  They were always around mingling,
but I could never find them together!

Kathy got a little chilly, so I gave her my suit coat.
She looks a lot better in it than I do!

Beth and Todd's "first dance" as husband and wife.
They did some cool dance moves!
Too bad I didn't videotape it.
