Max & Gary's Hovercraft

First, here's a photo that really isn't related to anything else.  My friend Gary, in Chicago, bought a parrot.  His name is Maxx.  He is about 14 months old in this photo.  He says "peekaboo", "goochie-goochie-goo", "whatcha doin", "superman", "hello momma" and of course "hello" . . . and he loves to wolf-whistle at women.

Gary came down (without Max) in July to check out a hovercraft that he was interested in buying.  The closest manufacturer's rep was here, just outside Atlanta.  (Don't ask my why he is buying a hovercraft, but he is.)  Anyhow, the rep took me for a ride in it too.  Here are a couple of pictures of us in the hovercraft on Lake Allatoona:
